More of Nancy's collections: Old glass bottles

Gentle reader,

As a result of our daughter wanting to have a yard sale, I went through the attic and under the stairs and pulled out boxes...........

A good bit of stuff sold, but a lot did not. For instance, we put her entire collection of glass paperweights out, but only a few sold. The pre-sale images will be in a later post.

Today, it's her bottle collection. I will start with two images of them all on the Asian rug in the den:

As you can see, they are of many sizes and shapes. I will not describe each as I usually do. Because, if you click on one photo, all open in a new page in a left to right slide-show. Thus my descriptions will not be there. If you are interested, use these photos above to gauge the relative sizes of each. The ones that are very large below are at 100%. The smaller images below should appear larger if you click on them. Some have two different things on each face, so I shot both sides. Ones that are wide I may have shot from the front and the side. One red one is half round, so I shot it twice. I shot them late afternoon on July 4th with the sun coming in at an angle. I got as near as I could with the camera to catch the sun shining directly through them. Enjoy:

The image above is what happens when shooting a tall building, tree etc., from the ground. It appears to be leaning back. Below is straight on, then the third is from the side.

This is a glass stopper. Sadly, the rear half of the glass fish broke off!

Waffles, anyone?

Believe it or not, the one above is one of the smallest ones.

Finally, as you can see, I made no attempt to clean any of them. Who knows how old some of that dust is or where it fell from? Cool collection, eh?

Thanks for looking,

Scott
