Spring at Last! Nancy's Yard Ornaments and Decorations.

Gentle reader,

Most of the time I write about and show you things I've collected and/or used over the years. Yet, I have shown you things of Nancy's in the past. And I am again.
I bought a mirrorless digital camera body, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1. It is in fact THE first Micro Four Thirds camera made. I bought it to use classic film camera lenses on it. I'm still learning but have been making progress.
However, the images made for this were made for this article were made with the G1, I used the factory autofocus lenses. The other Panasonic Lumix cameras I have had or still do have are equipped with Leica lenses. In fact, the standard Four Thirds Panasonic camera DID come with lenses made by Leica for it. These are Panasonic lenses and I am pleases with their sharpness.
That being said, let me get started. We've been in this house since we bought it in 2001. We have made a lot of changes inside and out. One of the joys of home ownership is being able to make it yours.
Being that the first real snow we received came on the first day of Spring and that it has been feeling like it was still Winter since, I have been waiting for it to warm a bit before getting out and making some photos.
As a result, the yard has not been neatened. The last fallen leaves have not been gathered and placed in the back yard to compost. So, please forgive the messiness.
This lovely lady fairy is made of brass or bronze. It's shinier than it appears in the photo. Aside from the ones that I have bought for her, I have no idea where she got her or any of the other decorations.
This is outside the front door, to the right.
This big fellow has "WELCOME" on the other side of his rock.
It surprised me she bought this cast iron snail. She hates slugs and snails. The tiny turtle you will see later on from the other side.
I bought her this family of turtles. She loves turtles. Note the small stone one at the bottom right corner.
This is in front of the sidewalk that leads to and from the driveway.
This is a boot scraper. It is cast iron. We have two Dachshunds.
This fat and happy cat, sits on the front porch. The cast iron-iron is quite old. In the olden days before electricity, women (men would NEVER have ironed something then, not like now) would place one of these on their wood-burning stove, after a few minutes would pick it up and iron something, then put it back on the stove to reheat.

The ground cover is slowly swallowing these cute pieces.
Aren't they sweet?
A closer view of the brass fairy.
 An absolutely sweet fairy.
 These two are sprinklers!

 A two-dimensional Dachshund.
Very cute and somewhat realistic bunny.

This is perhaps an iron statuette of Stuart Little.
This ceramic bunny has seen better days.
Very clever welded steel cat. Face is below.

Stone frog. We had once put in a small pond. Summer nights were quite loud with all the frog noises.
A very realistic turtle. Nancy loves turtles.
These geese are her latest finds.
Yet another fairy with angel-like wings. She needs a shower.
Concrete statue of a nature loving boy.
Another view of the turtle family.

                               A cute and small turtle.
I guess this is another form of fairy.
A view of the littlest turtle shown earlier next to the family.
                                         Two of the frogs.

This glass object is a turtle, I think.
This family of ducks double as a holder for a tiny pot.
Gretchen in front and Heidi a step above.

We hope you have enjoyed a look at what adds character to our front yard.

Thanks for looking.

Scott
