Gentle reader,
Having just completed the second race in the Elite Series of 19 races, piloting my highly modified Corvair featured in the last chapter, I realized it's time for chapter six.
We'll start with one of the more desired of Alfa Romeos, and like the Porsche 924/944 with which it competed in the sports car market, and utilizing the same concept of front engine/rear transaxle, the pretty GTV-6:
Below is one of the iconic British cottage industry sports cars: The TVR Sagaris.
Below, a Chrysler PT Cruiser unlike any on the street today. Engine swapped and converted to rear-wheel-drive. This Cruiser flies!
Next is another Italian Import one of the very few in the USA at this time, an Abarth and (ME) modified Fiat 500. It, too converted to rear-wheel-drive.
Simple livery in the traditional German race color of silver.
Next, another favorite, the fabled Datsun (Nissan) 240-Z or as I like to call it, 24 ounces. This one is a JDM right-hand-drive model.
As you can see in the period correct BRE racing livery. Note the JDM placement of the front side mirrors. Or as they say in the UK: Wing mirrors.
One of the VERY few hybrid cars that I actually like the looks of, Toyota/Lexus never imagined one as fast as this CT200h!
Below, bought in honor of my wife's second car, Fords attempt to breathe some performance into the highly shrunk and mostly despised Mustang II. This one modified from the "Cobra II" factory, cough, cough, hot rod.
Painted in Richard "Mr. The King" Petty's STP sponsored blue and red livery.
Next, one of the faster Porsche street cars one can experience in Forza 4, 2007 911 GT3 RS. I have since converted it to all-wheel-drive and sped it up into "S" class.
Below, is the "badge engineered" Mitsubishi 3000 GT, sold as a Dodge Stealth.
All-wheel-drive, four-wheel-steering, twin-turbos. It had all the technology Japan could put in back then.
Next, one of the many Aston Martin cars I have, the DBS:
Correct Le Mans livery. Gee, who do you suppose is the main sponsor?
Another, not-for-America, Audi. The RS3 Sportback. AKA station wagon.
Now, an Audi I helped bring to America, the TT RS first Audi to have a five cylinder turbo engine in many years.
Another of those cars I had to buy to race once! I had let my grandson race, so set all controls to novice. When resetting them for myself, I forgot to turn on: ABS, TC and SC. I kept thinking, "This thing is a POS! Why won't it handle? It's an AMG fercrhisake!" I later found my mistake and forgave it and the other cars I'd raced in the mean time.
That takes us to 75 of the 239 car garage. Whew! Thanks for looking!
